DSK RESIDENCE | Koppala Location : Koppala, Karnataka Category : Residential Builtup area : 8000sqft Site area : 4800sqft (80’ X 60’) Client : Private Status : Ongoing Located within a developing layout in Koppala, this residence sits on an 80’ x 60’ site with a built-up area of approximately 8,000 sq.ft. The design responds to the region’s harsh climate through a climate-sensitive planning approach that prioritizes openness, shade, and landscape. Large openings and carefully positioned voids enable cross-ventilation and maximize natural light, reducing dependence on mechanical cooling. A generous garden is retained within the plot, creating a lush micro-tropical environment that moderates heat and enhances thermal comfort around the built mass. The architectural expression is defined by a refined material palette of warm wood and exotic marble, balancing richness with restraint. The project brings together climate responsiveness, spatial openness, and material elegance to create a comfortable and contemporary family home.
